Collaboration is central to innovation. True to our belief that progress is powered by people, we continually refine how our teams work together and with our clients to deliver customer-driven solutions.
In July 2025 we relocated our Engineered Soft Goods R&D team from Dongguan to our Huizhou facility. This strategic consolidation brings Electronics Engineering and Engineered Soft Goods expertise under one roof—resulting in a more agile product development cycle and faster time to market for our customers. Supporting the growing area of electronics integrated with soft goods.
Collaboration That Powers Results
Merging two R&D cultures has challenges, but it unlocks significant potential and reduces bottle necks.
“There were different workflows between two teams, but through open communication, we found common ground while preserving the best of each,” said Kevin Chen, R&D Manager, EE R&D. “After the move, we gained more opportunities for integrated projects combining Engineered Soft Goods and Electronic Engineering.”

This integration has already delivered customer impact. Recently, OSM Group worked with a U.S. partner on a health and well-being device that has the potential to impact millions of people’s lives. With both teams co-located, electronic performance verification, material selection for soft goods and integration methods and processing were completed seamlessly—cutting down on communication gaps, streamlining workflows and accelerating prototype readiness.
“Working in the same facility allows us to immediately address challenges, exchange insights, and find solutions faster,” Stanley Tsui, Director, Product Development, R&D shared. “This hands-on collaboration not only improves efficiency—it strengthens our ability to deliver premium product solutions that meet high performance and design standards.”
The consolidation primarily strengthens our capability to deliver hybrid solutions—combining engineered soft goods with electronics. This integration enables us to support customers seeking high-performance, largely human form focused products that bridge comfort, durability, and intelligent functionality.
“The merge has made us more competent in handling electronics engineering and engineered soft goods integrated projects,” said Jean Liao, Senior Project Manager, Project Management. “We are now able to maximize the strengths of both teams to accelerate development and create smoother project progress for our customers.”

The shared workspace in our Huizhou Facility has also improved communication and efficiency.
“Face-to-face collaboration helps us resolve technical issues faster,” Jean explained. “If a challenge arises in a hybrid solution project, both teams can meet instantly—no delays, no barriers. This allows us to move from concept to prototype with greater speed and precision.”
By integrating resources and uniting teams under one roof, we ensure that every customer benefits from faster decision-making, stronger technical synergy, and a more seamless product development process.
Empowered Teams, Better Products
Every innovation at OSM Group is a product of shared effort. Our engineers, designers, and project managers work side-by-side to transform customer ideas into reality.
