Job responsibilities 

  • DFx review and analysis together with R&D
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on the product design
  • Provide robust manufacturing process:
  • Identify Critical process and provide the best solution.
  • Propose the most suitable machine, equipment and fixture for all identified critical process.
  • Lead review and approval of assembly Fixture Design.
  • Conduct PoC on new assembly processes and process automation.
  • Lead the DOE and work together with ME and R&D for proper machine parameter and consumable items usage and processing.
  • Lead production line preparation (machines, test station, assembly fixtures, consumable items etc.).
  • Lead Assembly Station Qualification (CPK for machines qualification)
  • Support Test Station Qualification (GRR)
  • Lead Line Qualification (based on target Yield, UPH, HC)
  • Lead Failure Analysis of defective products in all phases of NPI to 1stmass production.
  • Lead, coordinate, implement and verify corrective actions.
  • Lead the builds and provide build report
  • Lead team meeting every build (focus on product & process design and development)
  • Lead the transition from NPI to mass production stage (MP2).
  • Ensure Yield target achieved.
  • Ensure that UPH verified and met the target.
  • Ensure correct number of HC achieved (CBD vs Actual).
  • Provide additional technical training to PE, ME & Test team and production team
  • Validate automation solution if any implemented during the NPI stage


Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years working experience as NPI Engineer, Product Engineer or Process Engineer
  • Full understanding of FATP (Final Assembly, Test and Packaging) manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge in capacity calculation, cycle time analysis, production line requirement (equipment, fixture, workstation quantity), Headcount analysis, line layout, material flow and work station ergonomics design.
  • LEAN knowledge is an advantage.
  • Able to use Auto-CAD SW and 3D Software such as ProE,
  • Proficient in MS SW (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
