Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure equipment operates within design specifications and safety standards.

Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and production losses.

Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend and implement improvements to equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintenance processes.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support safety audits related to equipment and maintenance activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance and engineering teams.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and External Vendors.
  • Support training of technicians and operators on proper equipment use and maintenance.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers for parts and technical support.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or plant engineering (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred).
  • Experience with production machinery, automation systems, or utilities is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and control systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS is a plus).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent equipment issues.

Working Conditions

  • May require shift work, overtime, or on-call support.
  • Exposure to factory or plant environments, including noise and machinery.
  • Requires adherence to PPE and safety regulations.
