Job Summary

The PE Technician provides hands-on support to process engineering activities, focusing on process monitoring, tooling validation, and production stability. This role is critical in supporting the implementation of GLT (Global Line Tooling) and process controls to improve product quality and reduce downtime.


Key Responsibilities

Process Monitoring & Support

  • Perform daily process monitoring to ensure stable and consistent operations.
  • Collect and record process data (cycle time, yield, downtime, defects).
  • Assist in establishing standardized process controls and monitoring systems.

Tooling & Equipment Validation

  • Support GLT and tooling validation activities, including setup, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist engineers in equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Ensure tooling and machines meet operational and quality standards before release.

Production Support

  • Provide technical support to production for process-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and process problems to minimize downtime.
  • Escalate major issues to Process Engineers with proper documentation and analysis.

Quality Improvement

  • Assist in identifying defects, root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and yield.
  • Participate in validation and verification of process improvements.

Data Collection & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logs of process performance, downtime, and issues.
  • Prepare basic reports on trends, abnormalities, and process deviations.
  • Support engineers in data analysis and improvement planning.

5S & Compliance

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Adhere to company and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate / Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or production environment.
  • Experience with tooling, machine setup, or process monitoring is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered.

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and technical support skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and document accurately.
  • Good observation and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of quality tools (e.g., check sheets, Pareto, RCA).
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifting schedules if required.
