Job Overview:

The role of the Business Development/Sales Manager is crucial in implementing the business expansion strategy to acquire new customers from untapped markets and segments. Rather than being a ‘farmer’ who nurtures existing relationships, this role is a pure ‘hunter’ and ‘relationship creator’ who actively seeks out new opportunities.

The primary objective of this role is to establish connections with potential customers and existing customers in the APAC region to secure new business ventures for OSM. Through regular interactions with prospective and new customers, the individual in this position identifies the necessary capabilities and products required for successful entry into these markets and segments. It is their responsibility to uncover and expand opportunities for OSM’s products, services, and solutions, ensuring they align with the needs of our customers. They must provide clear descriptions of customer needs and create a customer roadmap/plan to guide investment and resource allocation within the internal organization and management.

Furthermore, this role requires the cultivation and maximization of the benefits derived from our relationships with technology partners. By effectively managing these partnerships, the Business Development/Sales Manager enhances our technical collaboration while also capitalizing on current and potential customer opportunities. When handled appropriately, these technology partners can serve as an extension of our sales force.

We seek an individual who embodies an entrepreneurial spirit and possesses a strong enthusiasm for exploring new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Sales & Account Management, the ideal candidate would be responsible for winning new businesses from new markets/segments.

  • Driving opportunities from initial engagement, negotiation, agreement signing, sample stage to mass production.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of documented knowledge and success in B2B sales and/or business development.
  • Possess great communication and networking skills.
