Summary

The Senior Laboratory Engineer is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment to ensure they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements; whether it’s an internal and external activities. They use a variety of tools and techniques to achieve this goal, including calibrating machines, measuring tools, and checking equipment against standards. Laboratory Engineer, as calibrator plays an important role in making sure all instruments and equipment is in proper working order so that they can provide accurate measurements

Responsibilities

• Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
• Be familiar with working instructions of laboratory machines and operate these machines skillfully and safely.
• Follow requester requirements to perform specific test item and provide the testing result to test engineer.
• Maintain all testing machines as scheduled.
• Tidy up testing machine and clean testing area.
• Record the running status of all testing machines and feedback to test engineer or lab supervisor.
• For urgent testing requirement, cooperate with other teams to complete and render an overtime if needed.
• Follow and observe 5S.
• And other jobs as per superior/manager’s instruction.

Qualifications

• More than 4 years of working experience in calibration activities, its hand-on activities and reporting.
• Good communication of reading and writing in English
• Good experience of dealing with customers and suppliers as per requirements.
• A good, detailed understanding of the international standards and the industry standards.
• Management System Auditing experience and managing audit programs
• Good experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
