What does this award mean to Chirag?
This award means a lot. In 2019, OSM won 3M’s Supplier of the Year for the Electronics & Metals division, before I joined. I’m proud to have played a role in securing this year’s award at the overall 3M level, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. Our success was built on strong collaboration, trust, and a commitment to providing the best customer service to 3M. Key contributors like Ted, Andy, Julian, and Vincent played a vital role in making this happen. More than just an achievement, this award motivates us to keep raising the bar and further strengthen our partnership with 3M.
What challenges did Chirag face during the process, and how were they addressed?
Supply chain disruptions during COVID affected material availability, production timelines, and logistics. We tackled this by adjusting sourcing strategies, optimizing inventory, and maintaining transparent communication with 3M and suppliers to minimize disruptions.
We initially worked with only two divisions at 3M, but through hard work, reliability, and a strong reputation, we expanded to four divisions. By consistently delivering quality and service, we strengthened relationships and positioned ourselves for continued growth.
How did Chirag build and maintain a strong relationship with 3M?
Leveraging our R&D expertise, we collaborated closely with 3M to develop innovative solutions tailored to their needs. By providing technical support, engineering insights, and problem-solving capabilities, we positioned ourselves as more than just a supplier—we became a strategic partner.
Consistency, reliability, and proactive communication helped build trust. By ensuring on-time deliveries, quick response times, and transparent collaboration, we strengthened our reputation as a dependable and solution-oriented partner.
