Job Overview

This role is crucial in implementing the business expansion strategy to acquire new customers from untapped markets and segments.  Rather than nurturing existing relationships, this role is more to actively establish connections with potential customers and uncover and expand business opportunities for OSM’s products, services and solutions.  The role contributes to OSM’s success by expanding its customer base, driving revenue growth, nurturing partnerships, and aligning business strategies with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Sales & Account Management, the ideal candidate would be responsible for winning new businesses from new markets/segments.

  • Identify channels and establish connections with targeted new customers
  • Prospecting, qualifying and converting sales opportunities
  • Drive and accelerate sales efforts to meet revenue goals set by the Company
  • Identify and engage with existing and potential technology partners
  • Lead contract negotiations and conduct thorough reviews
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Drive opportunities from initial customer engagement, through agreement signing, sample stage to mass production
  • Manage sales budgets and develop sales plans
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ needs and requirements to inform business planning

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of documented knowledge and success in B2B sales and/or business development
  • Possess a strategic long-term vision for business growth
  • Understand custom development projects and manufacturing, not solely limited to Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions
  • Proven track record in strategy development and partner management
  • Technical background either through early career or educational experience
  • Experience within the technology and electronics sector
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation and strong communication abilities
  • Able to manage complex solutions and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in implementation and project management
  • A self-starter, highly independent, self-motivated with well-established network within the industry
